(Xbox) Arena/Maiden Voyage/PVE

  • Feedback:
-Arena Matchmaking is pretty bad, there's always a team that is forced to either closed the crew or leave the game because people reasonably get tired of waiting 30 minutes. (Xbox only for fairness)

    • Maiden Voyage is a complete joke of a feature, let's be honest. You learn how to eat a banana and dig treasure. This is why newcomers to the game have such a terrible experience, an experience I just went through. It's a very vague introduction to the game, and should incorporate more features.
-The CPU in Adventure is mostly annoying. Not overpowered, but there have been plenty of times where I get Skelly Ship, Kraken, Skelly ship again, literally back to back where I run out of resources.
-Why is there not a directional spawn system, where I don't spawn in front of an enemy, at least on bigger ships. (Arena)
-Why is vibration on/off not an option?

  • @kn0ck3rsh0ck3r matchmaking isn't bad in the everyone lobby, atleast for sloop arena.

The tutorial is fine, this is more of a learn as you go game.

If you are struggling with spawn locations, scuttle your ship.

Vibration is in accessibility I believe, there is a slider. You can turn it down or off if you want.

Right...Like I said, in Xbox only servers Arena is pretty bad. I am not going to place myself in a critical disadvantage playing against pc players. So the issue is there for xbox, not "all players." I am also referring to the Gally arena.

The tutorial is fine.... learn as you go.... Oh boy. Quick References:
Hey if you move kegs near your ship while its harpooned it will blow up your ship even tho the fuse isn't active.
Hey Those Gold Skeletons, yea you gotta kill them a certain way,
Hey those Black skeletons, yea that's different,
Hey those Plant skeletons....yea different way.
Hey those clouds looking like a skull and the other one looking like a ship yeaaa.
Hey by the way, cooked chicken and cooked kraken meat actually have a "heal over time" effect contrary to fruits
Hey those skulls on the map, what do they mean?.....
I could keep going, but it would be obnoxious. A new player coming into the game wouldn't know literally ANY of this. Those are crucial things to know when sailing the seas. I can see things like what's this faction like, what are those mermaids buried, and oh wow the tornado means there's an event. Those are fine and things you should just learn as you go.

Scuttle your ship... just not the answer really. It's like, do I want just a bit more fairness when I die or do I just settle for scuttle to make the situation even worse? This is mainly in arena btw.

You're right about the Vibration however.

    Thanks

  • @kn0ck3rsh0ck3r I learned all of those thing, so did my crew. Sure it was drip fed to us over 2.5 years but you can learn it.

I played on the Xbox 1x for 2 years before building a pc. I never opted out, most players are bad enough that the general arena is fine.

Galley matchmaking is broken because of open crews.

Games should force people to learn how to play, they do not need to teach you everything. Im content that someone might have to use the internet to learn more, but you can learn organically.

And it's not meant to be fair, if you are getting slawn camped that's why scuttle is an option.
