My girlfriend has just started playing SoT, but every time she tries to use a vanity, clothing, or pet chest her game crashes. Telling her to update graphics, which are up to date. She has tried updating all her drivers, re-installing the game, re-starting the PC, turning off background recording. She has been able to play the rest of the game for hours with no crashing. It only crashes when using these chests. Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve it?

Does she see red and blue flashes just before crashing?

@gamertown2765 I've been dealing with the same problem for maybe a little over a week now. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game I think 8 or 9 times already and I'm starting to get annoyed. I'll get on passed the loading screen get what I need about to set sail and as soon as I hit any of the chest it'll freeze, close out and at start up it'll say sotdatacorrupt or whatever and I don't understand...
@gamertown2765 @VVoIfey https://support.seaofthieves.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360014775699-Windows-Steam-Sea-of-Thieves-crashing-during-gameplay This actually helped me fix it. at first i was confused between part 4 and 5 but once you restart your computer and reinstall it and reset it... and update it because it doesnt download the actual updates with initial installation... It works as it did before the one thing i was missing was the reset at the end of it XD so it must of been some type of error that happened during the update itself a few weeks back :/ I hope this helps everyone else out.
