Grade 5 Reaper Tracking

  • Thank you all for your replies. I think some misinterpreted my opinion on the matter, I'm not necessarily complaining, I just thought that it could drum up some debate. In any case, there were some good ideas, and some great points everyone made, thanks.

People get personally attached to ideas and other people think that trying to find new ideas or a better setup is complaining.
It's one of the reasons a direct feedback box is better than feedback and suggestion forums. Some ideas the playerbase would love if Rare were to suggest them, rather than Player35496.

  • Don't mind it one bit. As others have said, players, even non-emissaries can track Reapers at any point. The other factions can make the decision to remain an emissary or sell off the flag before they're discovered. I'd say it's pretty balanced. Plus, as others have said. Being a reaper does not mean you're a good player. I've seen PLENTY of Reaper emissaries that are bad (and some that are really good) just like I've seen PLENTY of other players in all kinds of ships be bad and good.

Sail with a good crew, then you don't worry about it.

How does everyone feel about the tracking ability a reaper gets after reaching level 5? I had a bunch of fun the other night with some friends tracking and killing every emissary on the server, but my brother kind of has a good point, with tracking, a player can't hide anymore. Your only option when approached by a reaper is to kill them or sell your flag (or scuttle which deletes the flag in most cases and that's stupid). Like I said, I had fun tracking and killing but we're talking about how fair it is, because my brother's right, running isn't an option, you can't lose a pursuer anymore.

The emissary on the map should have never been put in the game.
