Lemurs, conservation, charity...? hear me out, this isn't just a selfish favorite animal thing

One of the more pirate themed endangered animals I can think of is the lemur. (the aye aye lemur is population 1000, and declining. We GOTTA have a pet that's called the aye aye, known by locals as the finger of death. Definitely a pirate's pet). It could be really cool to raise awareness, and maybe rare could donate part of the pet profits from lemurs to support conservation programs! Lemurs and other endangered pets would be a really great addition. It's a little too late for them, but dodo's also were very much a pirate era animal and could be a cool addition as well.
