Ive tried the tall tale of shroudbreaker 3 times now. Every time the farthest I can get is the pillar room. Every guide I have looked at, every book has 4 symbols, where mine has 7 symbols, AND NONE OF THEM MATCH. I've gotten the scarab totem every single time and end up in the same spot. Just to drown because I am unable to get past the first row of symbols. None of them match, is this a bug or something? the fact that you have to start the whole tall tale over again is incredibly frustrating. Its getting to the point where im just going to stop playing the game. I just wanna do this damn quest.

Mmmm could you take a screenshot of your symbols next time? You should have 3 lines of 4 symbols (so 12 symbols in total).

@Dovah4084 : The book changed in a recent update to show the rows of human figures.
You need to count the figures, and match the total number. For example, the first row has seven warriors (with crossed swords). On the four columns there might be:
- 1 Warrior
- 3 Warriors
- 2 Warriors
- 1 Warrior
...giving the total number of 7.
For the second clue, the LAST column must have the Shroudbreaker; but the first three should have 5 boats in total.
And so on...
Interesting. I did Shroudbreaker again last Wednesday after the update and I didn't have this new format! Much more challenging. They are most likely A/B testing this.
@skulliah Yeah, I ran the Shroudbreaker a couple of times as well since the update and still got the old page. Would love to try the new format!
@ionei-falcon Maybe they're testing this with players who have never completed the tale yet to see the success rate of this new version? I'll have to try with an alt account 🤫
