The idea of naming a ship has been constantly brought up. I think you should have the ability to buy a plaque from the shiprights and be able to right a name on the plaque. Once the plaque is named, you can equip it to your ship just like any normal cosmetics and the name will appear on your ship.
You can even reward people with plaques that already have names on it like “The Morningstar” or “The Magpie’s Wing”
@coffeelight5545 I believe RARE has already confirmed the fact that we will eventually be able to name our ships, they just put it on the back burner to release more content.
@coffeelight5545 Ship naming, Captaincy, and endgame content are all on the same boat as Pirate Legends.
Hopefully now that Arena and fishing & cooking plus all the other needless stuff they’ve put in the game is enough for Rare to deem the game “ready” for Legends to finally get the content they deserve. I’m sick of waiting.
But we’ll probably have to wait another year or so for the xbox achievement to show more that 1% of the playerbase as Legend before we can expect anything. So I would just take a seat, sit back, relax; and enjoy your stay. Cause I’ve been here a year! And I have yet to be pleased :)
I’m a pirate legend. Honestly, I don’t care if non legends get to name the ship. As for captaincy, true Caribbean pirate captains only have authority in time of battle. At any time a crew can vote out the captain. If that happens, the captain better stand down or die
I agree there needs to be more rewards for pirate legends. I have suggested a hidden base idea in the past. Kinda like the Athena fortune arena where we could decorate it accordingly
I know naming the ships will be in the future. The question is how? I’m just giving a simple suggestion
