Game Crashes on Launch

Okay, here are few steps to fix the issue before reinstalling. Since you cannot access Microsoft files, because they are encrypted you won't be able to verify your files like you can do in steam. Therefore worst comes worst, you will have to reinstall. But try these things before;

Fix 1: Download an app such as netflix, run it once, close it and run Sea of Thieves again.

Fix 2: Reset the Microsoft app by pressing Windows Key and search for "Apps", select "Apps and Features" and proceed to Microsoft store. When left clicking on it, select Advanced option. Scroll down till you see the Reset button. Reset and continue. Try launching it now.

Fix 3: Check for updates on your windows. Press windows key and search for "Updates". select "Check for updates". Press update to see whether you have everything or might be missing some stuff. Let the installation(s) finish and try launching again.

If nothing of these things above help, you will have to reinstall.

@hxriis I tried all 3 things and they didn't work. I'll reinstall now and let you know if it worked or not afterwards.

My girlfriend had the same issue yesterday. There are probably some files damaged in some way, which you cant access or fix. So reinstalling sucks but seems to be the most promising option.
