Constant CinnamonBeard! 3 Day now!

  • Game crashed on 17/01/2019 and ever since I’ve had a constant CinnamonBeard every time I try and load into the game world. I’ve hard reset my Xbox, reset my router. Uninstalled the game and re-installed it twice! Still not working. I can play any other game only except this!

    Have you checked your NAT settings Sir? Sometimes it can set itself to strict and then i'm in trouble too…?

  • @clumsy-george yes mate. NAT is open. Has been throughout. Checked in both wired and wireless connections with Open NAT. I’ve also raised a ticket with SoT tech help but have yet to get a response.

    Tired again today. Still being given the same error message when trying to enter the game world!

  • @mr-wiidcat I would recommend to raise a support ticket and explain the details of the problem to them. I'm sure they will manage to fix it and get you back on the seas!

  • @biostructr I have mate they got in touch today but their ‘solution’ hasn’t worked. I’ve got back in touch but am waiting for further guidance. So frustrating. I just want to get back on the seas! Lol

  • DAY 6 of CinnamonBeard. The support team have no idea what’s wrong. I’ve just been told that the info has been passed to the developers.

  • @mr-wiidcat Have you tried speaking to your ISP? It's a long shot but perhaps they've made a change and now a port SoT uses is being blocked to you?

  • No mate coz my GF uses the same connection on her own Xbox and she can connect and play just fine. SoT support have basically said they don’t know what wrong but thanks for letting us know.....it’s passed to the dev team. that’s it! They can’t offer any solution. So just stuck with a game I can’t play. Gutted.

  • @mr-wiidcat Your GF isn't playing on a family share thing is she? I seem to remember there being a thing about sharing, but that was when more than two tried to play, I think.

    To be honest I don't know why I'm posting here, I'm the least technical person on the planet. I can break a calculator just by thinking about using it.

  • @boxcar-squidy haha. Thanks tho mate. No we weren’t at the time the issue occurred and we haven’t tried since. We’re literally just trying separately. She can. I can’t. Hoping the big update coming early Feb is going to resolve it. I even upgraded from my original Xbox one to an Xbox one x and it’s STILL giving me cinnamon Beard !

  • do you still have xbox live gold? Cabn't log on to play the game without it on console. I ran out and couldn't play.

  • @sprungnickel427 thanks mate. I’ve been through eeeeeeverything with SoT tech support. Have Xbox live. Have game pass but also purchased a copy of the game. Reset router. X4, uninstalled, reinstalled game x4, I bought a new Xbox - upgrading to the Xbox one x, I’ve checked ports on router, Nat type, literally everything. All they have said now is thanks for letting us know - and have done nothing further to help. Stuck with a game I can’t play. On day 9 of this now!

    That immediately screams an account issue to me. Surprised that's not being responded to quicker. Hope it gets figured out for you soon matey!
