  • That's beautiful. Was it the same four people or did you cycle in friends and such? I love it either way

  • @muertoamigo420 It was the same 4. Beginning to end, slowly losing our minds as a crew.

  • Truly legendary. After 8 or 10 hours I get loopy and hallucinate nearby ships so I can only imagine. Did yous meet many crews on your adventure or did you prefer to avoid the risk?

  • @muertoamigo420 Starting off, we agreed to not engage first but also not to run if they engage us. We made a choice once to attack first and it almost cost us our ship halfway in, as you can see in the twitch clip where the water reached the second floor. After that, we played careful and stuck to our original plan. We didn't shy from fights but didn't go looking for trouble. Two crews managed to peek at what we had below deck. One we sunk and we changed our ship look to try and hide, the second one gave us up to go after a fort.

  • Awesome story. I never fight a crew that doesn't attack me. I've spent hours just selflessly helping other crews and that's the most fun I've had. I wish I had crossed your path and befriended you.

    What a sight

  • @muertoamigo420 That's the beauty of this game and what a lot of people don't realize. This game is what you make of it. The players are most of the content and what truly makes this world alive with how unpredictable they can be. I once sailed up to Sunken Grove and watched a sloop sink in front of someone standing on shore with his chests. We made a deal. He helped me gather animals for my merchant quest and I gave him a ride to the outpost with his chests.

  • Wow what a great effort.
Sorry but I can't understand how in the second last clip you patched one of four holes close to each other then started bailing. I would have just grabbed a bucket of water and kept patching holes, then emptied the bucket.

But it all worked out well for you and I can't help but be envious of such a massive haul.
    Top stuff.

Fair winds and happy sailing to you. :)

  • @admiral-rrrsole We usually run a three man crew and have been friends for years so we've come to trust each other to perform their roles. I was confident in the captain's ability to get us out, for pieface to repair. As for the fourth guy, he's new to the game but a quick learner and I trusted him to do what he thought best. There were 4 holes from that barrel. I patched one while pieface was patching the second. I knew I could bail water while another patched and we'd be fine.

    And to you, Admiral.

  • @schmuckaduck Sorry, my bad. I didn't see the other crew mate "pieface" patching holes.

This is the beauty of established friendships. As a random I have been lucky at times to find a cooperative crew with compatible mics and the same mind set. But like the game's creators, it's very Rare. lol

As a PC user I am new to the Xbox app and this is the first game I've purchased for longer than I care to remember. I'd love to meet up with such a well oiled crew and find a permanent hull to call "home". More so than the loot.

Although me being an Aussie could cause lag if you were in "the states" or elsewhere just as far. I'm old and hopeless at combat but I know my way around a ship, forever adjusting sails to benefit from the wind or to slow down at islands, keeping an eye on the ship's bearings and the lower deck for damages and or water intake.

Hopefully one day I might be your random. :o)

  • It was a grand voyage, indeed. But I'm ready for that pirate legend status. More to come, I'm sure.
