Spawn killing..

    So I'm soloing, minding my own business. I suddenly see a galleon pop in over the distance. They linger a bit before heading over to the island I'm on.
    Thing is, the island I'm on is one that the game gave me a bounty to go to. Sure, fine, they can have it. I can't fight 4 people and a ship.
    They don't just kill me. They left my ship afloat. I had nothing on it. It just got used as my spawn as they killed me over and over.
    Is this what a pirate game is? Spawn killing some solo player in a group of 4? They saw my ship had nothing and did it anyway, so clearly it wasn't to steal from me.

    So, am I supposed to quit servers during the server issue periods because players want to be spawn killers? It's a bit of a mess.

    Press back on controller or ESC on pc

    Click crew

    Click yes on scuttle ship at bottom

    Unfortunately if they come for you when you respawn and you don't want the same scenario you will pretty much have to leave and find a new session

    While I can see how this situation was annoying for you, I rather like the spawn system the way it is. Just on the sloop there are 3 different points in which I've seen people re-spawn and that gives them a fair chance to avoid shenanigans long enough to move. Also gives me, as a solo player who had to do this earlier today, a chance to remove the threat for a few moments, long enough for me to A sink their ship or B let my ship sail far enough away so when I mermaid back I won't have to worry about them again.

    @cardinalbeardo While I did spawn in those 3 spots, they had people on my ship and on theirs. I did damage them a couple times trying to make a run for it, but it didn't exactly help my situation.
    I'm more just bothered that people are spawn killing players that had nothing. I get pirating and stealing loot, but I had none of that.
