Idea to fix grog.

  • If you look at history, the British Navy had one major problem. One, scurvy, a disease later discovered that the cause of which was a lack of Vitamin D. And two, the stored water was turning stagnant and foul-tasting. Well, their fix to the water problem was grog, mix of water and rum at a 1/2 pint of rum to a quart of water. this made the water last much longer in barrels and made the spirits of the crews higher. the problem with the grog in the game is that if the ratio of grog is 1/2 pint to one quart then that is not nearly enough to get someone drunk to the point of stumbling. Another fact about grog is that a man in the Navy, Vice-Admiral Edward Vernon, was an experimentory man and after much experimenting with the grog that the Navy gave them, he found that if you add citrus juices to the grog, citrus being high in Vitamin D, it not only makes the drink taste better but it also helps with scurvy.

In conclusion, I think the main thing I want fixed is the alcohol level of the drink but, I think it could be a cool addition to the game to add the need to drink a grog every so often to keep with getting scurvy

If you look at history, pirates didn't fight Krakens, Megalodons and Skeletons. Just sayin'

Maybe if you're roleplaying in Safer Seas with nothing better to do except for occasional easy PvE encounters.

The last thing I need is yet another thing to keep track of while fending off both players and PvE. No thanks, I'll pass.

Windrose, Atlas and IfSunSets are pirate survival RPG. SoT is not.

    Promote drinking. I like it

You mean Vitamin C, not D, and I don't think they'll go to that length for a fantasy video game.
