Dubloons for Gold complaint

I was actively farming for doubloon loot until the reset, and now I basically don't play the game anymore. I play 90% less than I used to just because gold feels pointless to earn and spend, you get a million gold for sneezing these days. I enjoyed the slow progression of doing comms and getting doubloons, I would plan out my sessions based on which comms I wanted to earn, how many doubloons I would get. This reset disproportionately affected players who DIDN'T farm a million doubloons worse because the type of people who had hoards of doubloons are the type of people who already have the cap again after using exploits to buy everything during the weekender.

Atleast you didnt spend all your doubloons before the reset to grind the weekend event to buy the cosmetics for them to steal them from you. Then after they choose to take what cosmetics of they're choice saying my doubloons "were not wiped" because of course they weren't i onky had 173 come the weekender event under the impression they were getting reset to zero. Now I have the items taken from me due to doing nothing wrong. This is by far the worst I have ever been treated over something in a video game. Im sick to my stomach I even spent my time for the whole event. Sad part is ive played the game since release and fell in love with the game but this is definitely gonna crush all of it.

As a player who has spent countless hours earning these doubloons

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to feel valued as a Day One community member when the effort we put in from the very start is being diminished.

Collecting Keys, chests, the season pass, random achievements, and among other things. Super easy stuff to earn and collect.

As a D1 patch wearer, I do not feel in anyway as my work was diminished or taken from me. After all, I wasnt spending those easy to earn and never spent coins.

Unfortunately, this has made it harder and harder to stay engaged with a game that no longer seems to reflect the values of its earliest community.

What did you even use those coins for? What value did they even have anymore?

• Max out faction levels, cant spend them on level ups.
• Own just every piece of equipment, including Doubloon items, and yet still have enough to buy it all over again.

They were to easy to uptain and worthless once you did everything with them. They could of made special voyages for them doubloons, but then you have players complain how they wasted them only to be sunk or game crash :/

I do believe that the input of loyal players like myself can help maintain the spirit of Sea of Thieves.

As a D1 patch wearer...that ship sailed when they started offering all those time-limited event cosmetics and don't even bother to reward us anymore for staying with the game all these years.

@burnbacon ashens chests, keys, ritual skulls and gifts do not reward doubloons anymore. You can't even find pouches anymore. You can get doubloon only with pass, commendations and reaper chests (10).

This week I read and have already experienced in the game that the items purchased at the smuggler's market were taken away. I consider it unfair because it wasn't my fault that the dubloon wasn't reset. I have been playing since 2018. I had over 80,000 dubloons in my account. Since it was limited to 4,000 dubloons, it didn't count for quests, so it seemed like I wasn't receiving the dubloons. In the future, if there is an event like this again, I will not be able to obtain the items because there won't be time to farm everything again. My request would be that, since it wasn't my fault but the developers', I would like to get back these taken skins. At least the 2 items worth 1,500 dubloons.
