Optional Legendary textures?

Not sure how much this would help, but would it be possible to reduce the game's download size by making the Legendary Textures an optional download (Such as the ability to enable/disable free DLC on Steam)? Space Marine 2 has a similar option for its 4k texture pack, which takes up a WHOPPING 112 extra gigs of storage. Disabling it takes the game down to a more manageable download size, so I was wondering if the same would be possible for SoT's textures, or if that isn't what takes up most of the game storage.
