@burnbacon You should also have to be mindful of your ship repairs and health too then. Make sure you triple rep your mast and double check for mid deck holes before you dive otherwise you'll get insta chopped and have water before your cannons are loaded. It's not difficult to eat, or to repair the ship, or to drop the sail and straighten the wheel, so why should the game also do those things?

This is just a habit you should get into in general as part of checking if you're ready to dive. I think we're lucky that diving repairs your ship so don't expect that to mean we're entitled to anything else.

Because there is some time before you regain control of your pirate, it may sink because you're diving; to make sure that doesn't happen the ship is fully repaired. Imagine just before diving hitting a keg or two and then some time with an immobile pirate that spawned far away from the wood barrel or below deck with a full bucket.

Besides, throwing water out while you're under water inbetween two servers doesn't make much sense either.

It should also empty your hull of water

They can do so much, it seems like a pretty simple thing to add. Little QoL touches are what make a game feel homie and comfy. They can take all the loot items off your ship but specify flags and hunting spears aren't loot items. This seems like a simple add
