I have seen a lot of 0 ritual swords and I think it would be better if there was a way to absorb orbs of secrets into burning blade swords at a reduced rate (2 orbs per ritual level) or use the burning blade sword at ritual sites by bringing it underground to the altar. This promotes more varied playstyles too in burning blade encounters.

I do not encounter ships with high ritual counts a lot and I only wanted some way to increase the opportunity. Maybe you know how this sword works more than me and you can help me understand what is going on as I thought this suggestion made sense.
- How does the burning blade sword work?
- Can it only receive rituals and memories from the orbs because it is in the burning blade ship?
- Why can Flameheart transfer them into his orb using his burning blade sword? Can it not go the other way?
- Is the burning blade sword from the burning blade ship different to Flameheart's sword? Why does Flameheart not use the sword we sell in reapers hideout?

The sword is the core of the ship and the ship is used to tune in with the dig sites and store the power of the rituals in the sword.

Exactly, because the ship has the incantations necessary for the ritual to work.

Flameheart is the only one that knows the incantations to transfer the power of the rituals between the orbs and the sword. He doesn't trust his minions with that knowledge.

He does, you can give the sword to him too, the sword just doesn't have the ability to receive the rituals because the incantations were broken with the ship.
As for a tip on how to get a higher level sword, you could level it up yourself and sink the ship.
