Weapon bundles

  • With the new emporium update, I've noticed that weapon bundles for brand new cosmetic skins (such as the deadlock jailor) don't include the throwing knives or double barrel pistol. Is there a reason we need to buy a weapon bundle and then also buy two separate weapon skins to complete the set?

I somewhat understand skins like lodestar and crimson crypt. Being part of "legacy" skins, there are potential issues with adding them to their respective weapon bundles when you account for people who've already purchased it. (I feel like there's a solution there somewhere as well, if Rare were inclined to tackle it......but I'm not sure offhand what that would be).

But brand new cosmetic sets like deadlock jailor, which no one has ever purchased before, should have all weapon skins included in it's weapon bundle. Forcing players to buy the knives and double barrel separately seems like a cash grab and feels icky to me.

    Thoughts?

  • It's really just a less expensive version of what they do with the collector figureheads and sails, which has been around a very long time.

Emporium can get pretty pricey but it still is just cosmetic, the updates are still free, and they still put a lot of effort into maintaining the game.

I think most consumers that stick around get far more out of the game than they put into it so I can't say that feels "icky" to me. It's a business, lights gotta stay on and people gotta eat.
