communicate with the players about down time

@psiborg14 Sea of Thieves communities much of their upcoming downtime on Twitter. This was a planned maintenance.

They started mentioning it as early as yesterday on (at least) Twitter, Facebook, Discord and their website. Then again an hour beforehand in all the same places AND in-game.

At what point does the responsibility fall on you to seek it out instead of expecting them to spoon-feed you info? Were they supposed to individually call each of the millions of players on the phone to let them know...?

why are servers still down? extended maintenance? communicate for once

It was announced, ingame and Out...nothing was surprised. It was like a 24hour planned event.

It wasnt much of a secret, they had it posted in a big red box in the game for most of a day. They couldnt really give much more warning since it was a pretty important patch.

I cant think of much more they could do beyond having a big red banner telling anyone for a day and announcing it on their socials. Where else exactly could they announce it to communicate it better?
