There should be an option in settings to auto lock your interact button onto enemy capstans.

    Currently people can easily stack loot or throwing knives on the capstan and completely block your ability to drop their anchor. There should be an option in your settings where, when you are looking at the capstan and the interact/drop should be visible, it will automatically allow you to press it, instead of highlighting something else instead. This would only happen on enemy ships ofc, not your own.

    It may cause issues with you technically not being able to pick up throwing knives or loot if it's near the capstan. Maybe there could be like a key you hold and it disables it so you can grab normal stuff again. For example, holding Y allows you to pick up other stuff near the capstan.

    @the-l-is-4-u Rare removed the ability to "mushroom" the capstan several updates ago, so if this snuck back in, I'd report it in a support ticket.

    If you really want to be petty about it, next time you run into it, remember Rare added a report option for exploiting, and this is technically one.

    Ironically, dropping the opponent's anchor is a tactic, and often a necessary one when you're fighting a crew of equal size and/or skill, especially if you're lacking curse balls.

    Exploiting the game's hitboxes to prevent others from dropping your anchor is more an exploit than it is a tactic, and was patched out by the devs for that reason.

    Lol, I've been littering my boat for hours with knives and the anchor is the only place I never really focused on. Didn't even think about the whole anchor clutter thing.

    Life is good outside of the metas.

    Once they changed the anchor they made it clear they don't like it.

    Entitlement changes are my least favorite changes though, anchor, red sea, I don't like the back and forth entitlement patches but now it's clearly an exploit based on their decision to patch the anchor clutter.

    @theblackbellamy Ah I honestly didn't know they removed it. I haven't played much in a very long time haha. You can still do it with throwing knives though (although I'm betting it'll be patched then), and I think an option like what I suggested would still be nice nonetheless.

    Bug rep it, you gotta give people credit for how quickly they come up with this. Though I wonder if people come up with strats in insiders but don't feedback so they can abuse on release
