While cheaters aren't that common in your average sailing experience, if you are doing a lot of hourglasses and purely PvP only you'll notice a large increase in people cheating. It's not as frequent to those who don't get tons of hours in a week but those of us who play extremely often and log in countless hours are starting to get tired of losing to the person who only hits mass, hits you with their guns while looking the opposite direction etc. 9 out 10 times always on an account that's fairly new to SoT yet they are godly players who can't miss. If Rare have mentioned an Anti-Cheat I will look bright to the future if not then Rare please for the sake of the sea enforce your pirate code.

Cheating is being delt with. Posting on the fourms does not help, you are better off raising a support ticket and reporting cheaters.

We appreciate your feedback, however, the best way players can bring cheaters to our attention is by raising a support request. This helps us assess numbers, categorise issues and develop solutions accordingly. Here is a guide on how to do it.
We addressed this several months ago in our Podcast and we are actively working to mitigate the issues people are seeing. We can not go into detail on our work in this area but rest assured, we are committed to doing our best to give all players the best experience possible.
