Shipwright Daily to Build Custom looking modular ship hulls and other cosmetic ship parts~!

  • The Shipwright Daily would be available to Ship Owners & their Crews can help but progression would only be gained by the Captain of the ship.

Each Day players could login and have the opportunity to gather Wood, Iron Ore, Hemp, Silica Sand. Each item would spawn in their respective locations relating to the item. Wood from The Shores of Plenty, Hemp from The Ancient Isles, Silica Sand from The Wilds, Iron Ore From The Devil's Roar. All the items would be able to be stolen by other crews tho the items them self would be of vary little value if sold to a trader.

The new items would only be accepted by the shipwright or servants of the flame for max rep or progression, Incentivizing PVP. The items if stolen would add progression or rep to each crew member of the ship who turns it in, incentivizing team work and larger ship crews to take part.

The Servants of the Flame Island Expansion. that island is too big and empty to stay that way. the Servants of the Flame are up to something and paying a good bounty of gold and rep for turning in stolen resources

The new resources would be used by the Shipwright to build the player a custom version of the three ship types. All changes would be pure cosmetic with little to no game play changes, other then the layout of ships being different depending on the builders choice of module.

Different modules for different parts of the ship Ie the Mast, the Railings, Figure Heads, Interior Layouts, Deck skins & gilded Age style of Artwork & Carvings, Ship plaques Etc. Interior Layouts would only change the placement of items like the cooking area, map table & Captains area.

Not allowing players to design their own but pick from a few different Layouts & Placements of Trinkets, this would also allow players to decorate their boat with the items they have looted and not just Cosmetic items

the entire system would be using the mechanics of the current three ship types. They would preform no differently then the current ships. the changes would only be cosmetic.
A set number of resources would be required each day for the Shipwright to make progression on the players chosen items. the amount required would vary depending on the size and complexity of the item. higher end items taking longer to craft and more resources. by collecting the required amount the shipwright would start working on said item.

after the shipwright starts working on the item, the player will be unable to hand in any more resources for a 72 hour time. Helping others with this turn in would shorten the players timer to 24 hours after helping someone else to complete their daily goal Three different times. each time the daily is completed with a different crew your timer would drop time allowing you to collect more resources sooner, incentivizing others to work together.

it should take more or less time to have different items crafted by the shipwright. only one item could be worked on at a time. Each item would cost different resources depending on what the item is.... one would also need to pay the shipwright gold each day or the progression on items would slow and eventually stop if they are not payed.

If the player was offline for extended amounts of time there progression will be frozen until they return but lost if they do not login to pay the shipwright with in 30 days.

Upon Compilation or Failed. There would be a short bit of dialog from the Shipwright. different reply's depending on how much attention the players has payed to the shipwrights requests. the more you help them build & the more you help other Players turn in resources, the happier they are to see you.. but if you ignore them or only help yourself the Shipwright will share some of their thoughts about it with you..

Ending with the player receiving their item from the Shipwright in a tiny magic metal box that is handed to them then opened with a small amount of VFX as the item is automatically added into the players ship parts box

Thoughts ? how viable would this be to implement? Would you Enjoy a system like this ~?
