I feel like I'm going crazy, I swear the waves in Shores of Plenty weren't this intense before this patch. They feel like waves in the wilds.
In one fight I had near Sanctuary the waves were strong enough to rotate an anchored boat 90 degrees, giving them broadside. I swear it wasn't like this pre-season 8.
Waves have been wild a long time
they never said anything about it as far as a know they just got more and more wild. It's definitely been around for many months at this point.
I always had a theory it was an attempt to mess with the skill gap to give less experienced players a chance to escape lol.

I think if they changed anything it's how the anchor operates but that's been longer than just recently because I often anchor in my sloop for loot and during krakens and megs and it noticably didn't stay in the spot
It's seemed easier to pulled an anchored boat around with a harpoon for a while now.
