Delay time after Reviving Pirate

  • Hello Everyone!

I met with the mechanism, what was sometimes frustrating after I got revived by friends. There is a little 1-2 sec delay while you can't move (or do anything) directly after when you got revived. That okay. But....your pirate is vulnerable, while the 'getting up' animation is proceed, and with his tiny 15-20 % of health is just a simple 1 hit for every enemy.

(We all know how intense are the fights even against players or lords/captains etc. To be safe and escape from isntant kill again, your friends have to clear/or lureaway almost all enemy from your sorrounding to revive you.)

My suggestion: Could you make our pirate's invulnerable until he "gets up from the ground" just to avoid instant hits after the revive?

I dont't know is this mechanism is there for reason, or not, but if it's not, please Devs, consider my suggestion about that.

Thank you for reading this, and for your help.

    Best regards.

  • I don't feel the need to ensure someone's revival. First, a revival is already a second chance. Second, invulnerability is a no no for me. Someone being vulnerable in that state is very reasonable to when compared to other games revival. Rust has it even worse considering being downed isn't a guarantee and you can get double tapped to ensure you stay down. I'm fine with that. Revivals can be clutch in timing, but they aren't supposed to be this sure fire thing to do in the midst of danger. I think the current system is generous enough.

  • I see why pirates could be annoyed be getting revived and going down right after but look at it from the other side you bring down a pirate their team mate revived them and the are unkillable for a short time those few seconds could have meant the difference between victory or defeat. I think the system works fine as is it’s just all about how you time your revives

  • Also side not but day one pirates well remember when we didn’t have revives you went down you went to the ship of the damned

This seems like even more of a reason to not make the change. Its a second chance, it shouldn't become a second chance but with buffs to ensure it works. You wish to look at if from another perspective, look at it from the crew with less people's perspective. You are already outnumbered, you kill 2/3 only for that last guy to rez their buddy. Now he's back with magical powers to ensure your already slim odds are now slimmer. You have said it yourself, your change could be the difference between victory or defeat, why make small crews at even more of a disadvantage?

""look at it from the other side you bring down a pirate their team mate revived them and the are unkillable for a short time those few seconds could have meant the difference between victory or defeat.""

There is a bit misunderstanding...Invulnerability is not right after the revive, when you can move with buttons/controller stick. Only after when the 4 sec of revive time past, and your "standing up" animation started. That means about 2 sec! Till he standing up you still jsut a puching bag, cause the game forbid you to move. (The "get downed" animation is similar speed i guess. You know, when your HP reach 0, and the pirate fall to his knees.)

  • No, there are already enough complaints about reviving already; and invun. time or not, if there's someone right next to you and your teammate still gets the revive somehow, you're gonna die.

  • in PVE, just go to the ferry.
in PVP, reviving should be removed.
