Rebind “Back” button

    Ahoy!

    I’ve been wondering if we will ever get the option to rebind the “Back” Button from X to something else (on PC).

    If it’s not feasible to allow us to rebind the back key, I’m wondering if we can have a feature added to back out of item menus by pressing Tab or something else.

    This is just a personal request as I’m so accustomed to pressing Tab to back out of any inventory menus across multiple games.

    PS. Great work overall on the numerous updates your team has put out since launch. I’m extremely excited for the “Life of a Pirate” expansion!

    Thank you all for the hard work and dedication that’s been put into this game.

    The Esc key works to exit menus

    @d3adst1ck thanks for the response. While I understand that ESC also works to exit menus, it does not solve my problem to quickly exit a menu in the heat of the battle. Having to use ESC forces me to lift my hand out of position.

    This is a minor request, but hoping a developer sees this to give us PC players a little more control on how we navigate the menus.

    @shadowpat2 i am left handed and have everything rekeybinded to the number pad. I have to take my hand off my mouse to hit the esc key to exit inventories and it has gotten me killed more times than i can remember. Mainly because my keyboard has a help button that opens Microsoft Edge help center directly above esc and i fat finger it when im in a hurry.

    If i could rekeybind it it would be a lifesaver for tons of people who have similar issues

    Lefty here too!

    Yep taking your hand off the mouse to hit the esc key is a bit of a faff. That’s the only key I’d like to have bound elsewhere.

    Key bindings for us lefties has come quite a way since the Alpha days though :D

    I'm left handed too, I opened a ticket to Rare and a 3d about it.
    The most annoying thing is having to leave the keyboard and look away from the screen to look for the X key especially during a battle.
    I hope that sooner or later Rare will also listen to us who use the devil's hand 😂😂
