Why cant we hold a hammer when we are fixing the ship?

  • In the Character Emotes bundle the you can see that the Shipwritght Crafting emote is using a hammer for the animation.
    So i dont see why cant we hold a hammer when we fix the ship, if youve already did it for a simple emote i dont see why cant we have it in the game as well.

    What do you think?

    yeah this would be a nice grapical addittion.

    Because it looks more raw if I slam my palm against a wood board and force it to cover up a hole that's to large for it. It makes me look stronger because I can punch a wood board into a wall and make it stick.

    true but us pirates arr beasts when it comes to fixing our ships that's why we don't need to pitch (tar) the ship or careen it

  • I'd also love for them to add first person animation for climbing up ladders and swimming above the water line. Currently both of theses have no animations, making it look like you're floating up the ladder and gliding above the water.

    Yes to the OP (and let us see the animation playing in first person as well), yes to this (just continue playing the existing animations while at the surface), and while we are at it let us see our bodies when we look down at the ground (all we get is cosmetics after all, at least this way we'd be able to see our own cosmetics a bit more, and scale up that immersion).

    Oh, and let me see my hands interacting with the rigging too, that is yet another spot we don't have a first person animation (though I think that might finally cover almost all instances presently in game, unless we want to hook up an animation of lighting the cannon fuse as we fire off a shot).

  • @redeyesith Im all for seeing more in first person but atleast it should look more realistic when someone is looking at you.

    Many small but important things like holstered weapons, we should be able to see them and i remember that theyve said that its too difficult but if cheaper worse games did it so can they do.

    Pets on shoulders is another mess, make it happened Rare!
