In short:
General:
*Emissary flags should have to remain level 5 in order to do the emissary mission. Once the emissary mission is completed flag must be lowered and raised back to 5 to start again.
*Do not allow emissary missions to stack.
*Incentivizing players to keep their tier 5 flag rather than immediate reset to level 1.
Reasoning: Emmisary system was suppose to be about increasing risk for increased reward. That has not been accomplished yet. People still turn in their loot as soon as they pick it up and vote down their flags as soon as possible. Increase the risk.
Ships:
*Maybe a bit controversial but I think in general a ship should have an emissary flag in order to get an emissary flag.
Reasoning: Right now and no doubt in the future even more so, we're already seeing ships load into servers to attack emissary ships for their flags in order to complete their commendations while risking nothing. Add this with sea of thieves random spawns and you may get a ship that continuously spawns a block or 2 way attacking you over and over again while losing nothing.
Requiring ships to have an emissary flag to get an emissary flag helps stop wasting everyone's time.
Alliances:
- Limit alliances to 2 or 3 ships.
Reasoning: Whether Rare wants to admit it or not "Alliance servers" are just as popular as ever and players will always find a way to gain an advantage. However once you added rankings there should be some attempt to keep integrity of competition By allowing fewer ships to form an alliance we may see more and more people opting for "natural player environments"
My 2 cents on the matter.
