Rehanging Emissary flags.

@blappo-spawn i agree..
there should be a way if ya lose your flag (sink) but you get it back,
that flag to put it up once more. even if ya sing to pve or pvp.
well if it is pvp (sink) that flag is far away,
but nevertheless, if ya get it back there should be a way to put up the flag some way,.-_-

Hahahaha is this for real? Nothing prevented you to keep playing, don't be so melodramatic. As you say, it took you 35 minutes to get that rep, nothing would have held you back to do the same during your remaining hour. You could also have anchored your ship instead of letting it go, that is 100% on you.

As for flags, what would prevent someone to make it to rank 5, sink their own ship, hide their flag, do a bunch of same emissary quests unhindered, untracked as an undercover emissary, then fetch the flag back, reattach it and reap the bonus gold and xp without suffering the risk of being an actual emissary?

The whole mechanic is based on risk vs reward. You took a risk, and in the end you still had relief and satisfaction as reward! Not all treasure is silver and gold mate 😂

Is it yours? Since when does loot disappears in 15 minutes? Did I say to hide it in the middle of the ocean? Did I have to specify to you "hide it on solid ground"?

To carry your broken flag in your backpocket and be able to spring it back up with its same value would be unbalanced as hell and bypass the risks of being an emissary while keeping the reward (a comon theme over here on the forum, people want to participate in higher-reward activites but always moan about the higher risks).

At most if anything, hanging your own flag should bring you back at lvl 0 so you can continue your progression from scratch without having to go back to an outpost.

@blappo-spawn the flag level is the reward for keeping the ship floating, your ship sank... because you took a risk.

You can not sell your own flag to avoid cheesing...

not what i asked - my point is i got my flag back... why why can i even see my own flag if its 0.00$ worthless i sailed across the map trying to figure out why the devs let me, but nothing is worth doing with it.

@blappo-spawn Why should it be rewarding you for failing to keep your ship alive?

You lost your progress, because you failed. Now that flag has value to others while providing you with none, the reverse from when it is active on your ship when you were gaining the benefits.
