Hey everyone! So I was looking it up online and I understand why Safer Seas is the way it is, and why Rare might not want to incorporate the ability, but I really think it would be amazing if guilds could interact with their members in a Safer Seas server.
Our guild is extremely active and likes to try to host guild events to get our members engaged, and to reward players for participating in the game by gifting them Ancient Coins and other Sea of Thieves merch as event prizes. However, it has been difficult trying to host guild events when it is impossible to get on the same server as each other.
Types of Events:
- Fishing competitions
- Ship races (island to island, or through the storm)
- Scavenger hunts
I understand why guilds can't join each other on High Seas servers, because it would be unfair if other players were ganged up on by guild alliances. I get it. I wouldn't want that for the High Seas servers. We love High Seas the way it is.
But in Safer Seas, you can't encounter other players so why not just let a couple of guild ships join each other? Maybe limit it to 2 guild ships per Safer Seas? That way at least 8 people can participate in guild events.
Our guild is super active. We play daily, sometimes throughout the entire day. We've pulled an unhealthy amount of over-nighters because we're always having so much fun on the High Seas. We never use Safer Seas because we like getting rep and milestones, and encountering other players, so having the ability to join each other in Safer Seas would not deter us from playing actively on the High Seas. We just want an easier way to host in-game community events.
Does anyone else have any ideas on a way for guilds to be more interactive?
