So it’s been over 10hr from the update for season 11 and I’m still getting this notification when trying to connect online with the game.
Lavenderbeard still?
@kfenvy I was getting it on my Xbox as well and what I had to do was sign out of all accounts except the one I wanted to play on, then it worked.
@abjectarity this worked for me however this keeps people from not being able to play the game on the same console unless it's your home xbox I haven't tested it out yet but I'm bout to. What if they made it to where we can't file share it anymore?!
So has anybody here gotten it to work.
Xbox series x. Game was purchased under my husband's profile. I can usually play under my profile if his is logged in as well. Since the season 11 update, I get the lavenderbeard error. We can only get the game to work if he is the only one logged in. Any suggestions?@smokohantas5478 so it’s starting to look like rare season 11 update broke something in the xbox game’s sharing
I’d suggest everyone in here submit an official bug report, maybe if enough people do they will figure it out. I can use my profile no issue and so can everyone in my household, but only if their profile is the only one signed in, so not sure what’s going on exactly.

Following our initial investigation, this issue is appearing to be related to Xbox Live accounts which are accessing Sea of Thieves via Game Share. So at this time, only the account which owns your copy of Sea of Thieves or the Game Pass on your console will be able to enter the game though we can confirm that this issue is being actively investigated further with a view to resolve soon.
We thank you for your patience while this issue is being investigated, though please keep an eye on our social channels for further news surrounding an update.

Well I got it to start on my sons account with the Xbox game share but not the account I got sea of thieves on.
i have the same problem on pc, to my knowledge you have to remove a credential for a "xbl ticket production" which would sign you out from sea of thieves and once you sign in again it would solve the issue, im not sure how to resolve this on console though considering you already tried signing out im sure the ticket remains
@erissar
Any updates? I am really keen to get into season 11 but haven't had a chance because of this bug.Well It looks like they did in fact brake the game share on Xbox with there season 11 update. And what further alarming to me is the fact the ship cosmetics that people have unlocked that are still missing they said they fixed it but my self and many others are still seeing this bug.
“Hello there,
It is possible to encounter connection related gameplay/login/purchase delays due to high number of players trying to access the game. Please try again later.
If you are Gamesharing, please make sure that you are logged in with the authorized account only and log-out from all other accounts.
Do not try to login at the same time unless the other accounts have their own game license. We really appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
Regards,
Sea of Thieves - Player Support”@kfenvy said in Lavenderbeard still?:
been 12 days still getting this error.
If you are playing through steam, log your xbox account from sot on it, then log back in.

They are on Xbox. I have this issue too, if there is any profile logged in other than the one I want to play on. I have to manually sign out anyone who played on the Xbox since I last played SoT. But doing this does allow me to play and since only 1 person can play at a time, it’s a minor inconvenience. But I do hope they fix it soon.
@erissar Hi mate, since i live in Iran, ecxept of the problems i have with dns and other things, i can only afford to buy home or switch game passes and can't buy a gift card on my own account, i wasn't been able to play since season 11, so i wanted to know if i buy an home game pass account and make it my home xbox will i be able to get in or i just have to get the gift card game pass?
@erissar doesn’t work, even on my home xbox my kids account still can’t play. with it come to PS i don’t think we’re going to see an fix for at least 5 months
@erissar well it’s April 1st now and I still can’t play on my account because my brother has game pass and I use it to play you gotta fix this
@musestricken17 no we don’t play on the same account if that what you mean, I mean I log into his account for game pass then switch back to my account so I can play game pass games and he doesn’t even play sea of thieves
@luminoustoxic46 This seems to be an issue caused by the dual accounts. According to support the workarounds are:
Personally have a Game Pass subscription (which means your account will own the game during this time), or
Own the game outright on your own profile, along with a Game Pass Core subscription for online play
