Youtubers going ham on sea of thieves!

there is more to the game than people who have played for 6 hours have seen.

It is not just youtubers.

Streamers
Reviewers
and many players are saying the same thing.

I mean, to be fair this game is a 5/10. The sound design, the graphics, and the way the ship handles are amazing.

The pve element is poor.
The pvp non ship combat is poor.
The ship combat is fun
The spawn system is poor.
The customization options are poor.

More negatives to this game than good things. Games can't live in todays market with releasing half baked games and upgrading them in the future with more content. As soon as Monster Hunter world release on PC a huge chunk streamers/players will be gone for that.

link please? I want to see what "content" is locked behind the lvl 50 grind, because a lot of people are hiding behind this excuse.

@noxsamus It may not be a "$60 dollar game," but I can say this: I have played it for more hours straight and had more fun in it than any $60 dollar game I have purchased in a long, long time.

First of all. Youtubers dont decide what games you like to play. You do.

There will be more content, and as a gamer I understand that this is isnt the least comforting when you've just got a game that is mostly either PvP with ships or sailing between islands. There seems to be more content coming though, so perhaps we as a player base need more fortitude than a mere week :) I also wanted more. But more will hopefully be coming. While Rare produce more content (which I really hope they do) I enjoy my trips between islands, sometimes getting sunk by pro PvP'ers that know when enough is enough, and buying cool clothes for my pirate toon. But I agree as I said, there must be more content, prefereablly something that actually matters (paint doesnt make a shovel better :) ).

i searched a bit, apperantly the streamers and guys going for world firsts are in the high 30s still... seems Rare really wanted to stretch out the "content" with artificial level scaling.
day 1: lvl 25
day 4 lvl 31...

So I am to grind to level 50 for gold clothes? Did I hear that right? THAT is the end game? I certainly hope not.

@triheadedmonkey I would say so far my enjoyment is at best 5/10. Now that's not because its not my kind of game, and its not because of me anything. Its because the game is half finished, period.

This is 100% true I've been stuck on this game for a while and honestly it doesn't feel repetitive to me I honestly feel this game is unique and in time it will be great. True. At this point it would help if I could at least get into the game. Right now I cant even attempt to enjoy it because I constantly get kicked.

Ya, today I play for 30 minutes then get an error that I have lost my connection. Like it blames me and that's bull because as soon as I'm out of game I'm still connected to everything else.

I have fun creating fun moments in this game. Like today, I hide some powderkegs on my boat at an island. I then hid in the bushes and waited for a ship to come in. They took the bait! I shot the keg from the hill side, took out two of them and got away with one of thier chest! It took an hour of my time and I got about 100 gold out of it and enjoyed every second of it! You can watch the video on my feed pretty funny.

OK. I'm actually wanting a mature answer here. So so far here is what I want to Know.

1. Gold Horders (So far the only quest I find enjoyable). Get map or riddle find treasure return treasure.
2. Order of Souls - Go fight some Skellies, get skull return.
3. Merchant Alliance - Go capture Snakes, Chickens, or Pigs. Return.
4. Just adventure for randoms, return.
5. Possibly fight other ships along the way on really small maps with a really small amount of players on them.
6. Do all this for cosmetics.

Please for the love of all that is wholly tell me that I didn't just summarize the game in it current form.

@capitankraken No, and I am not actually speaking for myself. I understand the otherside of the argument. In fact, I give both sides legitimacy. I think MY point is that RARE created a mess and the solution was simple. MORE content. They created this idea of player vs player mixed with PvE. What they created was distain for each other in the game. With more NPC targets this could have been eliminated.

Actually thats not true at all. Really Really not true. But I play the game in different "modes" so I see both sides. Sometimes I play solo and avoid confrontation (which I find rather easy) , sometimes I crew up and PvP it. I just want more content and there is not enough. Period, and you cant defend it.

Exactly. Its due to mindless, blind zombie followers that decided they were committed , got in early and have these big elitist , "Insider" swollen craniums. They are so hooked in they would literally go down with the ship all while screaming "Your all wrong"

Let me summarize most games currently out that have big player bases:

Run around and shoot people.
Die.
Respawn.
