Pet Taming.

  • Pets are coming.
    Its how they’re coming.

Id rather tame them in the wild than buy them in a store.
Feed bananas to monkeys, worms or seeds to parrots.
However cosmetic costumes like a parrot eye patch would be cool to buy and that stays with your character.

Your pet can be released to the wild but if stayed tame it will travel with you to the next session.

Because these are living breathing tameable npcs or mobs, they can perish if you let them starve or die in combat.

You can give monkeys commands such as holding a powder keg.
You can even give them wait / follow / move to commands.

Giving a ‘move to’ command and choosing a player as a target your pet will follow that person.

Give that command to a monkey with a powder keg and it will suicide itself with the keg on the selected player.

Unfortunately you lose your pet but can tame another monkey and keep the cosmetics you had bought it.

If you care about your pet, command it to stay somewhere safe, like the captains quarters or something.

  • @daringclarky While the idea is cool and it would bring more live to them, I don't know if it would perform that well, and they would need probably more months of work on that.

  • @eggamer13 It would be worth the wait.
Especially if you could breed animals together to make unique colours.

  • @daringclarky thing is how are you going to monetize that ?

Pets are only available trough real world purchases so this wouldnt work im affraid although it souns cool
