Shout Out!

  • Just a quick shout out to @PirateCraggy, @NoFears-Fun, and @Ruigtand-NL for all the fun and great time we had sailing together over the weekend. It was a pleasure and very rewarding. We did it all and only sunk once to a very angry volcano and a shifty crew.

Looking forward to sailing with you all on the many voyages ahead. Cheers to you all and congratulations @Ruigtand-NL on reaching Athena 10! Glad we were there to dig up and turn in the chest that got you there. Still more to do and barrels of fun to be had.

    Cheers to you all!

Thanks so much, it was a real pleasure to sail with you and xWolfstryderx.
I have of late got so used with sailing solo, it certainly has reminded me that the best journeys are made with good company.
From completing the "Mercenary" to my first steps on Athena, I really enjoyed the weekend.

It also reminded me there are other vessels out there on the seas other than the Sloop....

Some points of note that come to mind from a Solo Slooper

    • Wow.. the Brig is fast... stopping distances are therefore a little longer
    • The plank barrel isn't down by the chart table on the brig, it's at the bottom of the stairs.
    • Sword dashing off the front of the brig ( the new bits that the Shipwright has removed ) requires you to be up on the ledge - don't try 2-3 times... Craggy you are going no where :)

A fantastic experience with fantastic people, it's so great to meet up with people from the forum.
A great forum, full of great people, a great game... happy times!!!

Thankyou so much @x-Crowheart-x , here's to the voyages ahead.

Congrats btw @Ruigtand-NL on reaching Athena 10, extremely well deserved!!!

  • @x-crowheart-x It was indeed a lot of fun, I got to sail with some new and old friends this weekend and it was a blast. I definitely look forward to sailing again matey, as it was a genuine pleasure as always.

Having only sailed a couple of times together, I don't know if this is how you always have sailed, but I love the fearlessness of the team when we are out on the seas. Truly a great time.

Let me know next time you all want to sail around together.

  • Sounds like you all had a blast! Some of the best sessions have been with the scurvy dogs of the forums!

I don’t know why it just seems to add a little extra magic and make the sessions more memorable! 🏴‍☠️

  • Congrats @Ruigtand-NL, it was a lot of fun working to get you there matey. Although I wasn't around for 99.9% of your journey, I was blessed to be there for the last chest. Congrats.

  • @piratecraggy Perhaps some day we too can sail together matey. So far I have been blessed to sail with so many from these forums, and every time it has been a blast.

I truly can't wait for private servers to invite everyone I have sailed with on these forums to share a grog and maybe a challenge....

  • @nofears-fun

Love to!, would be really great to meet up in game.

As @x-Crowheart-x mentioned in game yesterday... the evolution of gaming over the past while is incredible.

It is amazing that people from different parts of the world ( different timezones ), from all walks of life, come together to share their experiences.
That truly is community, and a testament to the goodness in people. I raise me tankard to you all...yarr!!!

Yip.. definitely, we'll need to sort out some voyages together!

  • Rare you see we need join your friends with your own ship now! Please get this on the schedule soon. We know you said you will do it. There are many of us pirates waiting anxiously for this to come. It will keep so many of us sailing together and servers hopping with activity. Also, need change ship size so we can reconfigure and make the right size crew and sail the ship we need without starting over. Help us not leave mates on the dock or sailing alone on another sea.

When private servers come I would love to host one. Started bringing together folks decades ago with running a BBS (Bulletin Board System) on modems. We chatted, had forums, and played games together. Also shared files via ham radio. All years before internet arrived in our area. Have hosted game servers for years. Will be awesome to do so with Sea of Thieves.

  • I've a voyage with @Golgari-Hexmage to sort out. ( Busy days!! )
Sorry @Golgari-Hexmage for our brief time together yesterday.
I'll touch base with you towards the end of the week, see if we can get together.

Anyone up for a Galleon Crew?
I so agree with you @NoFears-Fun - private servers... need to get the club together!!!

  • @nofears-fun

Always fear no fun and never fear to live or to be yourself. Will get the most out of every moment we get to be here.

  • Thnx guys :D yeah with a nice crew you have really nice voyages. I sure have a lot of fun this way :D

  • Well if servers can merge then crews can also merge right? :D

  • @ruigtand-nl

If friends can join together with their ships, there should be no need for them to be merged most of the time. Would come down to Rare’s criteria for moving ships around. If a ship gets merged and someone is left behind, joining friends would allow ships to follow as long as there is room on server. If no room, then the groups of friends can find a new server. Sure once the option comes, Rare will work out the way to keep friends sailing together.

  • I have been thinking about it :")

We can make it official! Form a fleet but we need a name and name the ship and dresscode the crew. :D

We'd need rulez of engagement, strategy and combat tactics.

But the obvious first task would be to collect 100 skulls for the ceremonie in the fire cave with the dragonskeleton temple.. after the ritual we'd be pirate brothers

But me forget which island got this cave :( need to find it first..

  • Sounds like you folks had an awesome adventure! Good show!

@Ruigtand-NL Welcome to the ranks! (You'll find the special grog stash undernearth Ramsey's fish).

@PirateCraggy No worries mate, we made the most of it for sure! Just let me know what works for you and we'll hit the seas.

    Galleon?
