Was it really a thing... a possibility?

  • My crew and I were doing a skull island according to everyone else, but we like to call them raids... ANYWAY. There was a 2 man crew there and with the 4 of us we decided to see if they were going to be friendly and we would help with the raid. Unfortunately, they weren't and I think with good reason too. It was odd that one stayed on the boat the whole time while only 1 other guy was on the island killing all of the skulls by himself. We figured he might be dead already, so 2 of us stay on the boat and start to attack the smaller ship and force his boat to sink as well as take him out while the other two of us went to the island to start some killing.

Well, no matter how many times we shot this guy and no matter times he was taken damage by the overgrowth skeletons he was not dying. He was instantly killing us. His name was so dismal and odd that I could never figure out what his gamer tag was. The other two soon joined us and there were four of us chasing this guy shooting and stabbing to yellow bellied pirate and he was taking damage by the skeletons and never dying. He never used bananas or anything. He was very good at killing all four of us constantly on a whim no matter how many times we came back. During this fight the other guy would keep coming back trying to sink our ship, but we continued to kill him off with ease while the other guy was still running around on the island killing everything by himself.

Is it possible he was hacking??? The encounter lasted almost 2 hours and eventually the skull in the cloud disappeared and I don't think anyone ever got the treasure. Eventually, they gave up and left and we were already tired of dealing with other people by that time. We made it our mission to make sure this guy who we assumed was hacking wouldn't complete the raid and get the treasure in such a disrespectful way.

  • Paragraphs are your friends. This was kinda difficult to read.

  • @blam320 Sorry, I'll edit it, but what do you think of the situation?

  • @agent-molasses

Ahoy there, there's really no way any of us on the forums would be able to answer this for you, unfortunately.

Your best course of action if you encounter anything out of the ordinary in game is to report it via Support with as much detail as you can so it can be investigated by Rare.

  • @agent-molasses if the skull disappeared, someone finished the skull fort by defeating the captain.
They do not have to use the key right away so I would assume they took the key with them.

  • @agent-molasses Sorry to hear that you encountered this player that you mentioned he was cheating, but since you couldn't get his nametag and report him, there is nothing we could do here on the forums. Maybe the guys at Rare who deal with players cheating in game, will detect and ban him. I really don't like players using hacks or third party softwares just to have an advantage over others.

  • @d-jaguar Oh, O'Kay. Makes sense on that part. I didn't know that. Thanks for the information. If I ever see him again I'll be sure to do my best to write his gamer tag down.

  • @agent-molasses it gets really messy once they take the first key. Just something else for you to remember. When fighting for an active skeleton fort, always make sure the loot door is closed.
