    lol.. what a joke. I get there's a competitive aspect to the game, and I personally enjoy the pvp quite a bit when its for something but too many on this forum take the competitive thing way too far and outside the spirit of the game, imo.

    Forum needs a good scrubbing.

    i'm totaly on your side. i know a crew running around with pistol + sniper and have a makro to fire both at once and u will never beat them in a 1vs1.
    they drive around and there only joy in the game is messing up ppl. they board u as 3 and u cant rly fight them because u just die one shot. that's not even cheated that exploited bad game mechanics. this should be stopped and the sinking of empty ships should also have some small consequences but that's hard to implant because how do u ever know who the aggressor was or the circumstances. i sink ships if they are on the island i have to go to. quiet often i give them the option to drive off first if they have no loot... almost no one ever listens.
    but the makro 1 shot nonsense and other broken things needs to be stoped!

    Forums are there for opinions. Have been since the ancient roman times. And where opinions are uttered people get in discussions and that's not per-say a bad thing.

    Lots of people come here to get their opinion heard and often they get upset when it's not shared with others. It's ok to be upset.

    @w01fchi1d Aye! Shipwreck would be a good analogy here, especially when there is gold/treasure to be found beneath the depths you just need to know where to look.

    If your post contained suggestions concerning how to improve what you view is wrong with the forums then I would agree with you that your OP was intended to make this community a better place. Instead you chose to ridicule others with a different point of view than you hold. Your intent appears to be to incite a number of arguments concerning several issues debated at length here.

    The behaviors/quotes I cited are all about stifling convo that addresses the state of PVP in this game. I'd like to see that stop.

    The game can be played however, and in whatever spirit, the player wants to it to be played. So long as we all get the same sandbox with the same tools, we can choose to play how we like.

    @gloog Indeed nobody said you can't. I'm not sure that we're all given "the same tools" tho, because not everyone is so overzealous at the competitive aspect to exploit. Exploits are not tools.

    This isn't a competitive game. It has pvp in it sure, but I would not classify it as a hard competitive game and it was never meant to be one and won't be one.

    PvP in the game is certainly important and valuable.

    At the end of the day however, we must remember SoT's true purpose.

    A light hearted, children's sandbox with a pirate theme where you can play Pirates.

    You're preaching to the choir buddy. I know this. Its the guys who are first in every thread about cheaters insisting that the person complaining is just bad and justifying it by explaining what exploits could explain what they experienced like that's something that should be who need to understand this.

    The guys telling people to stop asking for pve only, the ones telling people to play a different game, them too.
