I've had 4 or 5 instances where a 'use a lantern' quest has failed to trigger. In most I was sure I was in the right spot. In a couple of instances having a second player with a lantern join me triggered it - for the others I was solo or it made no difference.
I can only assume the detection radius is so small you cannot trigger it, or there is something up with the trigger event itself. Only option has been to cancel the quest.
Anyone else experienced this?
@the-elder-man just to be sure, you know that you really have to "raise" the lantern. It's LT on xbox or right click on PC.

^This. I am yet to have an issue with a single lantern riddle. Also, you cannot just walk around holding the lantern up. Once you are in the correct spot, you must raise it.
I haven't experienced this. The only time it doesn't trigger is when I'm in the wrong spot or in the very beginning when I didn't know how to "raise" my lantern. Have you submitted a ticket? I hope this gets fixed fast cause the riddles are hard enough sometimes and especially with the new skeleton spawns!
@sir-lotus Hmmm... I did try turning it on and off, not sure if I raised it - thanks for the tip! I'll give it a go next time.
