How did your first/ most memorable session go.

  • I'll start:
I had bought the game two days ago as of posting this, and on the first day a friend and I had chosen the two-man sloop, we decided to just try sailing, and ended up on Crook's Hollow we had thoroughly explored the island. I had just gotten back to the ship and was looking at the map table when the entire ship suddenly jolted I get off the map and see a group of fellow pirates on our ship, I draw my sword and I had got to meet the ferry man for the first time. After we respawned we had decided to stay away from there, and ended up at the three masts, after a bit we found a bridge with a chest between the rock towers. Apparently we had found the "chest of a thousand grogs". knowing nothing about them we took it. We were delighted to see how much it would sell for, we had sailed a little farther and discovered that seagulls in flocks of about thirty signify sunken ships, and raided a good few, by the time we got off, we had a blast.

  • @taurinelemon7 Wish my first time was as lucky. Me and my roomate playing cross platform me on pc him on xbox decided to set sail into the sea of unknown. What we didnt know was the sea wasnt so stable yet. We got into the game picking our first voyages from the gold horders then our first map appeard, leading us the snake island. We went to set sail for about 5 mins then something freaky took place. Wasnt the kraken it was the ship itself. We would begin to rise above the waves then the ship started to tilt on its side throwing us onto the rolling sea. We look up seeing our sloop just take off into space. Me and my roomate where so confused then this error occured saying lavenderbeard. This happend over and over untill the first patch. After that we loved the game once we could play it.

  • First time I logged on my friends where in a skull fort. I was freaking out when I saw the loot

  • My most memorable was in Beta. I just found out about SOT and there was a beta so i got it quickly noticing it might be a promising game. My first mate was stiffbroom and we had one last dance off before the beta ended. We met back up when the game launched only to find out he is one of those who drink all the time and do nothing kind of kids. I guess you except who you get at first but then you get better and others dont care.

  • Most memorable session was when two full galleon crews and full sloop crew joind up on one ship to take a skull fort, we split loot chest for chest between 3 crews. At one point we had 2 guys sailing a sloop with 8 guys below deck ready to suprise foe.

  • My first most memorable session you say? Oh boy, sit down and make yourself comfortable, cos I'm about to tell you a story...

The year was 2018, this is a story about me and my lil brother, he's 24, still little kid to me (he'll probably read this, so Hey Lil guy!). We both downloaded SoT earlier that day and were waiting for each other to have time to play. We joined an xbox live party and with huge anticipation we loaded the game...

... and that was it. Cos we're apparently not very smart, we forgot to account for different time zones, so the closed beta wasn't live yet.

  • Best time: we teamed up with another sloop and ran a muck on the server.

Hit a skull fort, fought 2 galleons and another sloop for 2 hrs before we could even do a wave on the island.

Beat the island, (split the loot) and went to drink and play songs in the tavern, have a boat race, and drunken sword fight (achievements)

But honestly chasing down galleons and having your "crew" being able to split up is the best!! Other players don't expect it and don't know how to stop it. Plus having a helping hand/resources from another sloop is amazing. Unsinkable!

Honestly if your having an unfun time with the game.. go into game chat and find yourself a crew that's willing to split a skull fort with you. You'll make new friends and have tons of fun wrecking havoc on the server.

I've split 3 skull forts and all have been some really good times!

  • My most memorable moment is when a galleon decided to sink my Sloop when I was soloing and stole 5 villainous skulls from me while I was on Wanderers Refuge the opposite end of my ship my quickly retrieved and new ship proceeded to chase those scurvy dogs down all the way to a skull fort I watch them as they fought another galleon and both ships began to fire on me I got sunk again spawned across the map headed straight back for the skullfort found that the Galleon that had sunk me got sunk itself I told the opposite Galleon crew that I was waiting for the other one to return the other Galleon returned right after the skull Fort was defeated I proceeded to chase them down as The Galleon that defeated the fort try to run away from the other galleon long story short The Galleon that was running didn't fire a single shot The Galleon that was chasing them that had sunk me prior was sunk by my Sloop and my Sloop stayed standing strong The Galleon that was left standing was so impressed they gave me 2000 worth of treasure and all friend requested me

This was the first Galleon that I sunk as a solo Sloop but definitely not the last
