My ship popped out of existence. Perhaps only do this when I choose to scuddle it

  • Hi,

We were fighting at a skull fort and it was exciting adrenaline action. 3 Galleons were circling the island and fighting, we quickly sailed our sloop in the center lake of the skull fort where the water was shallow and sat there defending the fort.

We realized our ship couldn't sink cause the water was too shallow. I was our only chance against these galleons. So in all the madness we stopped fixing the ship. We thought this was a great tactic. Then after a lot of fighting and fun, Our ship suddenly popped out of existence.

I guess it had too much damage and if a ship does not sink after x amount of time with that much damage it just disappears.

This basically means the shallow water tactic doesn't work even through that pond in the skullfort was begging for a sloop to go in it.

Perhaps only get rid of the ship that way when I decide to scuddle it. It ruined the amazing crazy situation we were in and more then a little killed the moment.

  • @dash-lee-rowan the ship disappears like that whenever it’s impossible to get it unstick from somewhere. Even if it didn’t despawn you wouldn’t have been able to move it after completing the fort

  • This is a major setback. Good to know. Õ_ò

  • @NMRawesome5 indeed, beaching a ship is not a good tactic, you will get this unfortunate situation where the game will force an unimersive ship vanishing act.

I would try to advice some sort of island redesigns for some forts that have really werid shallow areas, just to decentivise players from dooing what op did. They did it with sunken grove recently, why not with forts?

  • @nmrawesome5 Although i know that is true, I'm not sure in this case if it was that stuck. I think we may have been able to get it out. But now we will never know
