Real Pirate Crews Had Shares - AFK Zombie gold leech fix?

    So... On real Real pirate ships, per the "Pirate Code" the crew were entitled to shares based on rank: (ref: WIKI: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirate_code )

    "X. The Captain and Quartermaster to receive two shares of a prize: the master, boatswain, and gunner, one share and a half, and other officers one and quarter. MacroBotz recieved 0%" (okay, I added that last bit :P)

    Having a system where the crew could vote to adjust the default (equal % shares) would be an interesting approach to the current issue of AFK/MACRO non-contributing gold p*******s. It could also make things interesting for veteran captains sailing with random newbie crews. Thoughts?

    I dont think that they should do this for the same reason they shouldnt add vote to kick. What would stop 3 friends that are partied up from splitting the loot 3 ways and not giving the pug anything

    @cj-colbourne 3 friends sailing should be on a 3 man galleon (if they don't want a 4th random). If there were an open slot and a random joins and gets cutout of their share they would just quit and join another game. So:

    1. The 3 friends do not get a 4th, unpaid helper.
    2. The 4th player
      a) Cannot sit idle mooching loot
      b) Can choose to leave to join another game
      c) Can be put in Brig if they are being a troll/ anchor dropper - Will soon logoff since they will not receive rewards.

    @OoOoRiDDLERoOoO Well, I play solo a lot more than I do in a group. So, by your reasoning, a 1000g chest would equate to 4 shares of 250g. Does that mean playing solo I would get the full 1000g? If your answer is yes, be prepared for everyone to be solo for a long time!

    @touchdown1504 Hmm, no, the 1000g Chest is worth 1000G per share. 4 Shares =* 1000 Per player:

    In a 4 Player Game the 1000g chest is worth 4000g (with equal shares):
    p1: @1 Share gets 1000
    p2: @1 Share gets 1000
    p3: @1 Share gets 1000
    p4: @1 Share gets 1000

    In a 4-Player Game (p3 is a noob and p4 is a bot):
    p1: @1 Share gets 1000+ 1/2 Pot (750g) = 1750 Total
    p2: @1 Share gets 1000+ 1/2 Pot (750G) = 1750 Total
    p3 (noob): @.5 Share gets 500 (500 to pot)
    p4 (bot): @0 Share gets 0 (1000 to pot)
    Pot total from partial shares= 1500G

    Captain of ship determines shares, or majority vote..

    @ooooriddleroooo Well that is kind of BS don't you think? How does a chest with 4000g in it magically only have 1000g in it for a solo player? See my point? If it is going to be shares, then the solo players who are working many times harder than a crew should get the full worth of a chest!

    Also, chest is already magic because it has 1000g PP when solo, and 1000g PP*4 when 4 player.

    @ooooriddleroooo Sorry, gonna have to say I like your idea, but I think a solo should get the full chest value. Not "1 share".
