  • These threads are pointless. We aren’t gonna get the substantial content we want and need. Rare hasn’t shown me any reason to think otherwise. The Post launch sea of thieves team is so much smaller now as we found out in the IGN interview and they will only just start making new content from scratch.

    Even a year later I bet people will still be calling it an early access game. Prove me wrong Rare. I’ll gladly apologise if you do.

    I fear you may be right. I think the only non-paid post launch content we will get to see is highly iterative, meaning based on the stuff thats already in the game. "Kill as many skeletons as you can" as a timed community event or some s**t like that.

    And then -of course- a whole shitton of paid cosmetics.

    It really is a shame considering the quality of what little is in the game right now.
    What IS there is excellent, imho.

  • All really great ideas and have been discussed in beta before...
    I just really hope now that Rare is getting the picture that there heads is starting to come out above the water and is starting to listen to some of the things I and others have posted in the past beta to make this game a Great Game!
    there is a lot you can do to keep players coming back for more and to keep cash going to Rare pockets to pay the bills. Have more customization different types of ships you can either Buy or grind for. Getting chickens and pigs are nice. but why not hunt for sharks and Collect their meat like the old whaling ships of that time. why can't you sell back some of stuff you find like 100 Bananas for 20 gold coins.. Be able to ask other players to join your crew in the game to have 6 on a boat instead of 4.. have a working Society that keeps the players wanting to return time and time again..

    1. The ability to give a banana, plank, canonball via Left Trigger. If recipient is not in range, Left Trigger allows you to throw bananas, planks, canonballs
    2. If fishing is implemented, that would be awesome if you could throw fish if you are carrying it. Useful if you are anchored and throwing fish in the water attracts sharks as a deterrent for boarding pirates
    3. The ability to bury treasure.

    -Trade system between players
    -Economic system

    Guilds
    -Advantages of being part of one
    Merchants, being protected by the government
    Souls company, being protected by thye ghosts ships
    Gold accumulators,no ideas
    -Guild base, private island with a costumizable outpost, being able to stock goods

    Punishments
    -Being trapped inside the ghosts the ghost ship, doing their duties
    -Being followed by the ghost ship
    -Being trapped inside a ghost island until finishing a quest

    Economy
    -Selling goods, but with taxes (for the government)
    Taxes consequences
    Good relationships with the government and navy protection
    -Smuggling or S tocking
    Smuggling consequences
    gives more money, but double chances of being attacked by the navy or the pirates
    if discovered by the navy lower the reputation with the government
    Stocking consequences
    with some effort, change the economy lowering ou boosting the cost of goods

    Activities
    -Fishing
    Different kinds of fishes, shark, or whales
    -Specializations
    Repairing, Zoology or Cartography
    -Addition of PVE, PVP and Whole in play server
    New kinds of Ships, with a tripulation limit of 6 or 8

    as I had said in my other comment in this post, I am adept at having factions divide the three that already exist and not only do they have also governmental factions as corsairs, merchants of the crown.
    pirates sorcerers of the dark order-thus opening the door to some sorts of magic such as filling the favored wind sails, using medium-distance teleports, and not being followed by ghost ships.

    pirates crawlers of the order of the accumulators-traces baus in other ships as much merchants as of rival factions will add more ideas when it has xD.
    which would guarantee each player to be of more than one faction thus perhaps improving the interaction when finding other players with a common faction diminishing the focus of piracy between pirates that would be directed towards a rival faction or only to merchant ships but the factions would work more or less in this way governmental faction of conflict but factions base like merchants, of the souls and accumulators would be irrelevant for an ally are willing to complement the idea with changes improvements would love to hear the ideas as good as those that I think mine are. and of course when talking about participating in a faction you wonder if you would be stuck with them forever in my suggestion I would say no, governmental faction has a term of service unlike the base faction it would be like a specialization but does not prevent you from to seek adventures of another faction all could make any adventure respecting the laws and rules of the different places.

    Again all Great things that should be in the Game! And have been talk about before in early beta. But for some reason the sounds and cries in how to make a great game went onto death ears.. And now starting to see the negative and disappointing reviews coming in, that could have been prevented. lets just hope the ship can bail out the water and fix it
