Was just in a game where the skeleton fort was completed and I was in one of 3 galleons trying to get the key. The front ship (with key) sailed off the map and sunk. Does anyone know what happens to the stronghold key in this situation?

@itz-k-timer if and when the key despawn the door will open, I had a situation where a Galleon smash n grabbed a fort key my buddy waited on the stronghold as I chased in our sloop, they got Kraken attacked and I pounded them and they sank,the kraken despawned shortly after and my buddy was screaming the doors opening. loot floating in open water sinks and despawns slow than kraken though can take 20/30 minutes.
@k1ngbre4ker so the door opened without a key? Also for future reference I just sunk due to a kraken right after finishing a stronghold. A couple rate teas and silver cups floated up 10 gun powders but no other high value items. We got there within a couple momutes after
@itz-k-timer that went to the bottom of the water I have had that same thing happen yo me I looked under the water as all my skulls and chest was silly going down just pick then back up let go of them again and that start to go back up making it Easter to get back on the boat
