Is there any way to switch between Party and Game Chat on Windows 10 XBox app?

    I play on PC and use the XBox app, but I don't see any way to switch between Party Chat and Game Chat there. Usually I setup a party first while I invite everyone into the lobby so we can chat while we're getting everyone in and then loading into the game. Then we like to switch to Game Chat so we can interact with others in the world. But the only way that I have found to do so on the XBox app on Windows 10 is to just leave the party.

    Has anyone found a way to switch back and forth between the 2 audio chats using the Win10 XBox app?

    Also, any ideas why we often get an echo of people talking when in XBox Party Chat that then goes away when we leave the party and go to Game Chat.

    I play SoT on the pc and use the Xbox party chat. Are you wondering because you can't hear anyone in game? If so, it might be a bug because I am able to hear and talk with people in game either using a push-to-talk button or just leaving voice chat on. Meanwhile everyone in the party can hear me just fine. If that's NOT the case for you, just ignore this!!

    Edit: When I talk in game while in the party, everyone in the party hears me twice as it is two different voice chats going on at the same time.

    @emperor-tgills Huh, so Party Chat remains on, but Game Chat also works? That's weird. So Party Chat doesn't provide any privacy against the Proximity Chat then? That's one reason to use Party Chat over Game Chat, I thought, was to not let enemy crews hear your crew's discussions when you're battling them or trying to sneak on their ship, etc.

    @ardrikk That's the cool part! When you set Game Chat to push-to-talk, you can plot with your friends without risk of the enemies hearing you. If you need to talk to them, they are only a button click away.

    So the way it works in on the xbox app the party chat is separate from the game chat. So when you open up the game you're still in game chat since its two separate things. I just turn push to talk on. Not sure if it always works but people can hear me in game when I press it, and I can always hear them since the gamechat is always on.
