pc update download. will i have to redownload the entire 20GB again just for an update?

it's going to be a pain in the a**e if i actually have to. if so Microsoft or rare should really fix that problem.
edit: i reeeeeally dont want to spend 2-3 days downloading the whole thing again! ;-;
