error 0x80070005 after "patch"

  • Microsoft just said they fixed the game pass error, so I try downloading the game again and am still getting this error. I have tried clearing my appdata cache, restarting, pretty much everything that I've seen on other forums. Does anyone have a solid fix?

  • @ginger-empire Im having the same issue. been trying to DL on and off the last 4 hours.

  • @gvk-r3p i fixed it by totally reinstalling the game, try that.

  • All 'suggestions' not working.

  • I cancelled my update and launched the game (to check I would get the Beigebear version mismatch error, which I did).

    I'm now redownloading the update- as I imagine the issue with Game Pass may have affected the download in some way.

    If that doesn't work, I'll try reinstalling. I'll post back if I get it working.
    Good luck to anyone who is also experiencing this issue.

  • jus gets to the end of a complete reinstall and says error :/ w*f is wrong with this. was working fine till 'update' lol. they better resolve this or I want a refund. absolutely rediculous

  • As an update: I managed to get my game working by canceling the update and doing it from scratch. I don't believe I reinstalled the game, just re-downloaded the update.
