I've already met the TERRIBLE KRAKEN twice (yeah i'm luckyyy). The first time we were scared and stuff, but (idk why) we were able to reach an island, and the kraken was stuck around it during like 10 minutes, then "escaped".
The second time, WE FOUGHT THE HORRIBLE BEAST!!!
Easy.
Like, the kraken has 2 attack patterns (insane). I'll not spoil them, but he's doing 1 attack every 15 seconds.... In the mean time, you can shoot his tentacles with cannons (the goal is to hurt him enough so he leave you alone). I think that the kraken is too easy. It's a TERRIBLE BEAST, A LEGENDARY CREATURE!!!
But, he's easy to fight af. Furthermore, he don't give you looooot!
So, did you guys already met the BIG TENTACLE CREATURE? Are we too strong, or is the kraken too easy?

I think Rare is in the first version of this kraken so it's normal that for now, it is easy.
I hope the kraken will attack your ship underwater and make holes in the floor of your ship and you have to beat the tentacle with a sword before you can repair the holes because there is A F****** tentacle obstaculizing!!
Or something like that! =)
@chameau-nix I too have encountered it twice and think the Kraken is meant to make you use resources.
I also belive also it's not that hard to defeat that's why I think it's there only to make you use a lot of resources and if you play it very badly you might lose ship and loot.
It all depends on how many resources you have when you encounter him.
Immagine having no wood and having holes in the ship where you take in water, you will have to have someone removing that water, while you fight the beast, while maybe you have a crew member that's been caught by the tentacle. The difficulty increases a lot !
If you always ensure you have enough resources you will always make it thru.
Maybe it should increase difficulty based on rep. or have an avreage team rep level that increases lenght of kraken encounter witch means more resource depletion, ecc. ( just thoughts)
I kinda think it should be a bit more often, so that you actually fear it. ( also waiting for a second monster of the seas :D)Plus I've never seen the kraken on a 2 man ship, does the kraken actually attack 2 man ships or only 4 man ships ?? I really have no idea, and I'm starting to think it's only a 4 man crew calamity.

It should lift your ship in the air and shake it.
