1.) It would be nice if when you dropped the anchor and swam underwater you could see the rope down to the sea bed from the underside of the ship. Small detail i know, but more realistic and would allow people to see if a ship was anchored or not from outside.
2.) More content in general, although im sure it's already coming.
3.) There seems to be little purpose to saving up all your booty to spend on new weapons, as all they seem to be is different skins essentially. Wouldn't it be better if the expensive weapons gave you an edge? I know we dont want unbalanced gameplay, and we don't want highly kitted out pirates sniping newbies from hundreds of miles away. But that's where you need some sort of negative impact to power players attacking newbies unfairly.
4.) Bounty system. Pirates that attack newbie players unfairly... ie outgunned and outmanned acrue a higher bounty than pirates that don't. Allow players to pick up bounty missions from taverns to earn gold. This will hopefully discourage unfair play, but also encourage players in groups to go out and hunt naughty pirates.
5.) Add traps on islands and deep caves systems. Im thinking next time you find a chest deep inside a cave, picking it up activates a trap... giant stone ball comes crashing into the room to run people over unless you run for it "indiana jones" style!
Really this game is just getting started. They have built a fantastic foundation to build upon, and there is so much potential here. I for one plan to stick by them!
