Is there any way to reset your character?

    When I first hopped in earlier this evening, my friends told me I could customize after I get into the game. So when I got to the part where I could choose my character, I figured it was just an archetype kind of deal, and that I'd be able to fully customize their appearance later.

    As we all know, I was incorrect in this assumption. I didn't realize there wasn't going to be any sort of "create a character" system in this game, and my friends mistaken my question to be about clothing and hair - not actual base character appearance attributes.

    Anyway as stated in the title, is there any way to reset? I don't mind losing progress - we only grabbed a few chests before everyone had to hop off for the night.

    At the ship selection screen there is an option to delete your pirate

    @vickaiser @vickaiser unfortunately no.

    Only thing you can do is delete your pirate and start over. You lose all progress/itrms/gold you acquired. I did this but only lost about 1000gold worth of time. Really really really wish they'd have a proper character creation tool. It's 2018, what game developer DOESN'T do this?

    I hated literally sitting there for 15 minutes pressing "new pirates" and waiting for the auto generator to come up with something close to what I'd want (still not happy).

    Where you choose either Galleon or Sloop right? I don't see an option to delete my pirate... OH! It's in Settings. Thanks.

    Yeah I'm not looking forward to doing that myself, but I know how I am. Even if I'll rarely actually see myself ingame, I know I'm going to get more and more aggravated as time goes by, so best to rip the bandaid off now.

    And I agree, not a fan of this sort of randomized creation. I know that's a pretty controversial topic and I don't wanna start yet another war over it so I'll curb my opinion about it now. I'll just say I hope it improves - and those of us who already made characters get to remake them when it does - and leave it at that.

    @vickaiser I'm not afraid to say that only having your character randomly generated is stupid. Seriously, of ALL the games where you can create a character that is yourself, never has a game limited you to randomly generated avatar. This is a first and hopefully last. They need to change this. I'm not playing as Lara Croft, Solid Snake or some specific character. This is my pirate, my Persona, me. It's a horrible idea honestly and it needs to change.
