Achievements not working

    Hi,

    I’m curious if I’m the only one with achievements not unlocking like the one to set sail for the first time or killing a skeleton eating a banana?

    Only got the one to play music when sinking, but that’s not the one I wish I had first...

    @nic727 Same here. Achievement unlocks are cleary not behaving as intended. The question is: will they retroactively unlock the achievements we have, once the server issues are fully resolved?

    I don't know about retroactive unlocking, but I would expect so, given the nature of the game, that it's intended to be a service, and the ease with which this can be done technically against a persisted profile.

    Setting sail for the first time ("Now Bring Me That Horizon") could take a few hours to pop, but should pop sooner or later.

    I've also not gotten "Shopping for a Promotion" - for buying your first trading company promotion.

    In case its useful... ...I've been keeping track where possible of glitchy achievements (and how to get them generally) here, which I'll try to keep up to date vs reports on the forums and patch notes as and when the game gets patched.

    Edit: there's another thread where there is feeling (no confirmation) that achievements unlocking is sometimes delayed for the same underlying load issues as is also causing some gold/rewards/progress to be lost/delayed/inconsistent. And that they will all catch up soon enough...

    Same here.

    I rly wondered cause these Archivments didnt pop up :D

    @minoan I'm hoping they give us them retroactively. Did a lot of things that were achievements.

    I haven't had a single achievement pop for me since the very first, from eating the banana. I'm only about 20hrs in, but I still haven't had any delayed ones appear yet.

    Same for me, looking through the list I know I have done a few of these things but I have 0 achievements unlocked.

    I have a bunch of achievements done but it stopped to work on some point :/ I also defeated the kraken and it aint showing in achievements... :/ took almost 200 hours to find that monster and 20 seconds to kill it xD
    I also did that vomit sword fight achievement that was really hard to accomplish... no achievement :/

    Rare said every achievement that we've been earning has been logged in their system, and when their servers are strong enough to handle it they're going to turn them back on and we'll get them all at once

    You guys are aware achievements have been manually disabled at this time by Rare right? They are intending to enable the achievement service sometime during the week, possibly into the weekend. They claim they have all the necessary stats logged to retroactively unlock earned achievements.
