  • it's approximatly 6k each and there is only 4 in the world.
    But yes it's true.

  • @zyrkal But they mean 6k each of in game money. Making sure this isnt some kind of sweepstakes.

  • @johnny-vain real golden bananas

  • @johnny-vain It's not in-game... it's IRL.
The riddle start 19th (during 2 days i think) and you have a chance to win it if you are a crew of 4 and solve the riddle first.

  • Well, that is not what I read. These Golden Bananas are worth 20K sterling each and it is real money, not game currency.

  • @cupohemlock it's not 20k each because it's 150g of 18 karats gold. So you just need to check on internet how much worth 150g of 18 karats gold.

  • @zyrkal 150g of 18 karat gold is under $5,000 usd

  • Anyway...you need a crew...and to answer 15 questions in time.

Each fastest team to answer from an area gets invited to some final test.
You and your team needs to go where ever that is and do something.
Then, maybe...you win that golden banana.

    Is that correct?

  • I just found, it's worth apparently really £20k each, but it's probably because it's like a jowel.
So the work behind and the fact it's a unique craft probably make it worth much more.

  • @jimmcq Yes sorry I was calculating in canadian dollars.

  • is it restricted to specific countries or open for all?

  • @seasicksig Ahoy! Specific countries matey!

**Participating countries are USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany and Australia.

  • @musicmee :(

  • when they mean a crew, do they mean as in Real life or people online, cause I have no real friends near me. I only got online friends.
also why do I suddenly have the "ooooh banana!" from Donkey kong 64 when I finishdc watching that teaser of the golden banana event?

  • I have a weird case of De-ja-vu for some reason. like I seen this in on e of my dreams of "Visions"... huh.

  • Yeah it's something like the first group in each country get the reward and runner up crews get golden coins worth like £200 I think

Edit: plus they said the questions will role out every few hours I think 3 or 4 and then once all the questions are out its first to insert the correct ones onto the banana board (it's not called that) as no jne will have access untill thelast question is released

  • Problem is, the questions will be coming out while I’m playing the game, so I don’t think $20,000 is worth missing the first two days of sea of thieves. They are going to have to raise the stakes a little bit

  • Of course it's real

  • @johnny-vain ima jsut keep saying it even though no one adresses it ..... when you win a prize you usually have to pay the tax on the value of the prize before you can own it ..... taxes on those bananas will be nuts

  • @mjrmike most ppl have a computer sitting right beside them anyhow .. I dont so i will also likely miss out on the questions

  • @p0pc0rnh3mer01d as do I but it Will still require my attention to be taken away from the game.

  • @mjrmike that's what the wife is for ... also make sure if you take a crack at it to save up for the taxes lol

  • @jimmcq said in Golden banana ? IS this for real:

@zyrkal 150g of 18 karat gold is under $5,000 usd

Still more than the $0 I have

  • i will repeat my Question, a crew of people you know online (like gamertags, username, their real name that they tell you when they trust you) or Real l
i ask because i got online friends from around the world, and i got only 1 friend , he rarely talks to me, and one of my buddies is in Wisconsin. i know its one crew per region. what I'm asking is RL, online or both to make a "crew"?

  • @cyber-phazon657 canada and usa are both the same region .. north america

  • @p0pc0rnh3mer01d so anyone I know online with a Team of 4 can do it with me? since i know someone in Canada, Wisconsin, and north Carolina, or something like that?

  • Looking forward to see if this is true.

  • @cyber-phazon657 should be able to as long as you guys can muster up the tax money for your prize
