Will the progress/items you acquire during the closed beta transfer over to the complete game on launch? I’ve boyght some admirals clothes and was wondering if I would have to buy those again in game when it launches.
Scale Test Closed Beta Progress.
@sheer-iceman Everything earned in the scale test and possible open beta will be reset for launch, you will start from scratch from 20th March.
Like everyone else has already said, and like how every beta ever done with progression in gaming history. Current progress WILL be wiped at release.
But do not fret, at release is when youll have access to the full inventory of gear they have planned for launch. So there might be a set that catches your fancy far more than the admiral set.
Progress is completely restarted, but what about your Pirate? Are you going to be able to generate a new one?
I still have 2 questions on my last post, if those 19GB I downloaded on PC for the Stress Test will be worth something when the game comes out, or if I have to download everything again...

Maybe it only gets one hell of a big update. I don't know.
@codename1337 I would definitely think the final download will be considerably larger but i will check for you.
Edit: there isn't any definite information on this just yet.

CodeName1337 (Rúben Gomes)There is the "Sea of Thieves Beta" that you downloaded in order to play the stress test that will become useless once the game hits.
And then there is the "Sea of Thieves" game it self that you will have to have downloaded separately. This is what you'll have to access to play on the 20th. After the 20th you'll be able to delete your beta access because it will be useless
