Pistol vs Blunderbuss

    Gents. Which one do you prefer if you had to choose one or the other? Whats some of the pros and cons of each that you notice? Which one do you trust in a pirate to pirate fight?

    I personally love the Blunderbuss. The shotgun power of it means you have to get up close but man those headshots are one shot kills. If I’m going to be forced to go toe to tow with another pirate in a sword fight, I want him to take a shot from the blunderbuss first.

    Leave some comments and lets hear what you all think. If a gun is perfect or OP and your personal choice.

    I suck with both the pistol and blunderbuss, but I prefer the pistol. Just because the "Bilge Rat" skin for it is the easiest of all the weapons and their skins for me to aim accurately. I've only gotten a few one shot kills with it, but I prefer the cutlass for close quarters. The blunderbuss is good, but feels cheap to me, kind of like it doesn't require any kind of skill to use. But that's my opinion of course, and it's based off limited blunderbuss use. Just cause I like my Rat pistol best lol

    I meself brandish a flintlock fer medium range shots o attack on me way to the encroaching enemy then pull out me cutlass fer some fine close quarter combat! Makes fer a good balance for ranged and melee attack aboard enemy ships, defense and fer takin down those dreaded bonemen!

    I like blunder bus and sword combo for multi kills

    blunder can get a sweet 1 hit kill at close range, which when sneaking up on players is a must

    and sword is just stun lock to win ez mode

    @xImp0sterx Blunderbuss probably because I'm reeeal c**p at shooting ship-to-ship with the long range rifle. I love boarding during sea battles and the blunderbuss is great for taking out enemy pirates during the chaos.

    I want to get better at using the Pistol because it's such an iconic pirate weapon and some of the skins seem pretty flash. :)

    More of a pistol guy myself. Blunderbuss is too inconsistent for me.

    Blunderbuss for ship battle to keep the deck clear of enemies and Pistol for on shore because of the longer range accuracy.

    @ximp0sterx I always go with pistol. Short distance, medium distance, the bullet finds its mark.

    @bloodfrenzy187 I like using both on ship raids. Set the pistol in slot 1 for fighting in the water then use the blunderbuss to work your way to the weopons cabinet. Trade the pistol in for the cutlass once you get there, equip it and block because you'll have company!

    @ximp0sterx i prefer the flintlock pistol, as i like the medium range it offers, close range i usually go with the cutlass

    The dmg of the pistol is way to low to make any sense equiping it!
    Either they need to raise it or lower the dmg of ther blunderbuss.
    It doesnt add up when pvping cause nobody will ever choose a pistol!
