Ahh, the sword lunge / charge!
That's not a bug, it is a tactic!!
Try doing it from your crows nest or even better, from a high cliff into the water ;)

@mikimikste - Not a bug and something that's common amounts seasoned pirates. Handy getting to & from your ship. Also had many diving competitions around the world using this technique.
